Here’s how to do it.
1. Pick the Right Team and Position
The team and position you choose matter more than most players realize.

• Pick a Weak Organization: Avoid teams stacked with stars at your position. For example, if you’re a Shortstop, joining a team like the Royals with Bobby Witt Jr. blocking the spot will slow you down.
• Target Depth Chart Gaps: Look for a team with a low-OVR starter at your preferred position. The lower their OVR, the easier it is to surpass them.
• Consider Position Changes: If the MLB roster is crowded at your position, think about switching. A second base or outfield spot might get you called up faster.

2. Focus on Increasing Your OVR Fast
Since OVR drives promotions, every upgrade counts.

• Upgrade Your Archetype and Perks: Complete Program tasks to move your archetype from Bronze to Diamond. Diamond archetypes give bigger OVR boosts and extra perks.
• Equip the Best Gear: Use your top bats, gloves, and cleats. Equipment gives passive boosts that increase OVR even without perfect gameplay.
• Target Core Attributes:
  • Position Players: Power and Contact are king. They directly impact OVR and help you hit your performance goals.
  • Pitchers: Focus on Hits per 9 (H/9) and Strikeouts per 9 (K/9) early. These stats affect your OVR more than the fine details of each pitch.

• Manual Training Over Simulation: Simulating saves time but slows attribute growth. Always do training manually to earn the maximum tokens.
• College Route Advantage: Taking the college path gives extra tokens and a head start on your OVR compared to entering the minors straight from high school.
• Two-Way Player Alert: If you’re both pitching and hitting, you must improve both. Ignoring one side can keep you stuck in the minors.

4. Use Gameplay Settings to Your Advantage
You can tweak the game to make progression faster.

• Adjust Sliders: Lower CPU pitch speed and boost your hitting power. This makes it easier to crush at-bats and rack up stats.
• Play on Beginner Difficulty: The lower the difficulty, the faster you earn XP from Home Runs, Hard Hit Balls, and pitching stats. This speeds up Archetype program progression and OVR gains.
