Okay so I knew Lotuses had a reputation for being a bit temperamental with electronics, but this is getting ridiculous. I parked my 2014 Evora in the garage before a work trip, came back ten days later, and the car is completely unresponsive – no dash lights, no door chime, nothing. I managed to pop the trunk with the physical key and the battery was reading about 3 volts on a multimeter, which I'm pretty sure means it's completely dead flat. A friend who used to own an Exige said these cars have a constant parasitic draw from the alarm and the ECU memory and that anything over a week is risky unless you put it on a tender. I wish someone had told me that before. Now I'm trying to figure out if this battery can be recovered or if it's toast. I've been reading about Lotus Battery Replacement In Dubai and it seems like the key is finding someone who won't damage the fiberglass body panels while accessing the battery (it's in a weird spot behind the passenger seat). Has anyone here successfully revived a battery that was dead flat? Or should I just accept that I need a new one and move on?
