My H2's steering is wandering all over the road - help!

So I've got a 2008 Hummer H2 that I absolutely love, but lately the steering has been feeling really loose and vague, and it wanders all over the lane on the highway, which is honestly pretty scary when you're driving something this big. I've checked the tire pressures and they're fine, and I don't see any obvious play in the tie rods when I jack it up, but something definitely feels off. I'm thinking it could be the pitman arm or idler arm, maybe even the steering gearbox itself, which I know can be a common issue on these trucks with higher mileage. The thing is, I don't really trust the typical general garages with a vehicle like this because they don't always understand the unique suspension geometry and steering setup on these things. I've been asking around and someone mentioned Hummer repair Al Quoz, saying there are a couple of shops in that industrial area that actually specialize in American SUVs and trucks and might know exactly what to look for. Has anyone here had similar steering issues on their H2 or H3 and can tell me what the culprit ended up being? I'd rather get it diagnosed properly before I start replacing parts randomly and wasting money.
